TCSS started as a group of like minded friends, artists, surfers, illustrators, film makers and designers. 9 years on the brand is international, the network much wider, but the core hasn't changed. TCSS is 100% independent, they do what they want and make what they like. Society is a celebration of all things Critical. A LOOK BACK: MOUNT MAUNGANUI

The turn of the 21st century has been a period of radical change. The technological revolution may have not have given us flying cars, but we have smartphones, the internet, and a way of life that even H. G. Wells couldn't have predicted. I recently came across a number of historical photos of Mt Maunganui and its surrounds on the database of the National Library of New Zealand. The photos are testament to how much has really changed.
