Fresh out of the factory! The Maunganui Chip. Inspired by Dale Velzy and the seminal ‘Malibu Chip’ of the late 50’s. Think surfing from the middle of the board and the big drop knee turns of Phil Edwards. Design elements include a tweak on our popular 'Hotdogger' rocker, a subtle concave in the nose through to a flat tail, and a 50/50 rail through to a sharp down rail out the tail. If you look closely, Ryan Glover assym’d the tail on this one to help with cutbacks on the heel rail.

Rides like a fast log in small stuff, but handles the big stuff too. 

Model in image is 9’2 x 23’ x 3’ with our 11’ inch speed fin and assym'd tail.

• Concave entry to flat exit
• Refined rails with volume hidden in the belly
• 50/50 rails through the middle blended to a hard edge out the tail
• 16'1/8 nose measurement 1ft back
• 3'1/2 inch rocker
• Match with one of our big board fin templates
• Pin or square tail
• Cut lap with your choice of resin tint
